“Be the change you want to see in the world.”

From Chuck

I started a company in college with no outside investors, and I sold it. Then I bought land and lived off the grid, isolated in the middle of the woods in a tiny house, for two years. Then I traveled as far as I could.

I've seen so much of the world, and I've seen both ends of many different spectrums. In my search for purpose and fulfillment, I kept running into the same truth: neither comes from serving yourself. Both come from serving others. The biggest thing you can do for yourself will still fall short of even the smallest thing you do for someone else.

With great privilege, which I feel I've been afforded at a very young age, comes great responsibility. Jasmine Initiative is one of the many answers to how I choose to live that privilege and lead in my own life. It's also my attempt to answer a question I couldn't shake: how the hell do I make my short time on this planet mean something?
